Magdalene Suggs Stancil, age 90, died Friday, October 13, 2006. Visitation was held Wednesday, October 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m.Thursday, October 19 at Warsaw Presbyterian Church in Warsaw. Survived by: 2 daughters Barbara S West and husband George of Raleigh and Judith S Phillips and husbnad H.C. of Miami, Florida; brother, Melvin Rouse of Reno, Nevada; 3 sisters, Johnnie B McPhaul of Raeford, Bruce R Bennett of Okeechobee, Florida and Jeanette R Lanier of Greensboro; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Jimmie Helton Carroll, age 71 died Thursday, October 12, 2006. Memorial service was Saturday, October 14 at Grace Covenant Church in Beulaville. Survived by: wife, Shirley Worrell Helton; 2 daughters, Pamela H Frazier and Lisa H Martin; 6 sons, Donald Herring, James Herring, Leroy Helton, Tony Helton, Alex Helton, and Robert Helton; 1 sister, Gwen Wallace; and 1 brother, Howard Helton. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Alonza Morris Outlaw, age 53, died Monday, October 16, 2006. Funeral was at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday October 18 at Pink Hill Funeral Home followed by visitation. Burail will be at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, October 19 at Outlaw Cemetery in Mount Olive. Survived by: 3 sons, Philip Price, Benjamin Morris Outlaw, and wife Samantha, and Steven Mitchell Outlaw all of Mount Olive; 2 sisters, Joyce Lynn Grady and husband Kenny of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Virginia jones of Beulaville; 2 brothers, Lynwood T Outlaw and wife Bobbi and Stanley W Outlaw and wife Connie all of Mount Olive; 2 grandchildren; and fiancee Joanie Price of Mount Olive.
Paul Winston Williams
Paul Winston Williams, age 64, resident of Clay Hill, Florida died Saturday October 7, 2006. Williams was born in Duplin County and had resided in Clay Hill for 29 years. Visitation and memorial service was held Wednesday, October 11 at First Baptist Church of Highland in Lawtey, Florida. Survived by: wife, Ruth Williams of Clay Hill; son, John Williams and wife Sheena of Middleburg, Florida; daughter, Anna Slater and husband Dan of Clay Hill; brother, Dick Williams of Kenansville; 2 sisters, Bobbie Pigford of Kenansville and Kay Cahoon of Surf City; and 11 grandchildren. Gilbert W Garris, age 58, died Saturday, October 21, 2006. No services were held per request of Mr Garris. Burial was in Pineview Cemetery in Goldsboro. Survived by: sister, Edna Garris Stancil of Seven Springs; brother, Allen Garris of Rosewood; and granddaughter, April Lynn Best of Goldsboro.
Phillip Lloyd Rogers
Phillip Lloyd Rogers, age 58, died Friday, October 13, 2006. Memorial service was held Monday, October 16 at Rose Hill Batist Church. Cora Edwina Sutton Kornegay, 101, died Friday night, October 13, 2006. A service in the celebration of life was Sunday, October 15, at the Calypso Presbyterian Church. Following the service, a time of fellowship and remembrance was in the fellowship hall of the Church. Survived by: son, Dr Hervy Basil Kornegay, Sr. and wife Deborah of Calypso; 7 grandchildren, Sara Lynn Kornegay Herring and husband, Rick of Calypso, Carolyn Kornegay and huband Dr Michael Ponder of Johnson City, Tennessee, Dr Hervy Basil Kornegay, Jr. and wife Vicki of Goldsboro, Dr Christopher Chad Kornegay and wife, Kelly of greenville, Dr Jeffery Todd Kornegay and fiance'e, Jennifer Russell, both of Greenville, Jonathan Hargett Kornegay of Greenville, and Paul Robert Kornegay of Calypso; 8 greatgrandchildren, Sara Herring, Ashton Herring, Jayne Ponder, Michael Hervy Ponder, Laurelyn Ruth Ponder, Brittney Kornegay, Jordan Basil Kornegay, and Hannah Kornegay; and sister-in-law, Julia Grantham Sutton of Calypso. Graveside service was Sunday, October 15 at East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville. Survived by: 4 daughters, Geraldine Baker, Judy Murphy, and Sandra Kennedy all of Pink Hill and Gail Quinn of Trenton; son, Kenneth Kennedy of Pink Hill; 2 brothers, Rayford Kennedy of Winterville, and Lamar Kennedy of Pink Hill; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
